Shimmering Skies - Launch Trailer

The Request
For the Lorcana Set 5 “Shimmering Skies" cinematic trailer, we were asked to create environment and character illustrations. Our task was to develop artwork that faithfully followed the provided script, storyboard, references and style guide provided by Ravensburger and Disney, ensuring all elements were layered appropriately for subsequent animation by We Are Royale.
We framed each master shot wider than intended, allowing flexibility in camera movement and revealing areas of interest through foreground elements. This approach provided material for unique shots while leveraging the same scene. Detailed attention was given to lighting, shadows, and character interactions to enhance the narrative's cinematography.
